Apple Watch Pro Details Leaked Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in his latest Power On newsletter, has revealed that Apple is planning to go the “Pro” route for its smartwatches by bringing in some Pro features to its rumored sports edition of the Watch Series 8. The treatment will be similar to Apple’s other Pro products like the iPhone Pro models, the MacBook Pro, and the iPad Pro. Besides the Apple Watch Pro moniker, you can expect high-end features like a bigger, shatter-proof display, longer battery life, and improved swimming/hiking tracking....
The devices have recently been certified by various regulators around the world, including the US FCC, EEC in Russia and TUV Rheinland Japan, revealing their battery capacities and charging speeds. The FCC listing also seemingly revealed the rear panel design on these devices. As can be seen in the image below, the XT2091-8 will come with a triple camera setup and a physical fingerprint scanner at the back. Samsung Starts Making 3nm Chipsets Samsung recently shared an official Newsroom post to announce the initial production of its 3nm process node with Gate-All-Around (GAA) architecture. The company says that the 3nm node along with the Multi-Bridge Channel FET (MBCFET) GAA architecture “defies the performance limitations of FinFET, improving power efficiency by reducing the supply voltage level, while also enhancing performance by increasing drive current capability.” Samsung also highlights that the new fabrication process offers a 45% improvement in power efficiency, 23% improvement in performance, and 16% reduction in surface area for chipsets as compared to its previous 5nm process....
Exynos 2100 Specifications Samsung boasts that Exynos 2100 is the company’s first-ever premium 5G-integrated mobile processor. It’s built on the 5nm extreme ultra-violet (EUV) process node, which sounds similar to the one used to manufacture Snapdragon 888 chipset but it is not. Qualcomm has used the Samsung 5LPE (5-Nanometer Low-Power Early) process node. Both of these flagship chipsets are, however, being manufactured at Samsung’s 5nm foundry so there won’t be a huge process-related difference like last year....

While the former was originally rumored to be the exclusive supplier of mini-LED displays for Apple in 2021, the latter has now reportedly “experienced better-than-expected development” on the technology and will also begin its supply next year rather than in 2022. Apple has also reportedly been looking at other companies, including Osram and Seoul Semiconductor, to source the new panels, but Epistar and Sanan are apparently offering better prices. The increased capacity and competition among suppliers will apparently reduce the cost of mini-LED panels from $75-$85 to $45, enabling Apple to use these panels in about 30-40% of its iPads and 20–30% of MacBooks in 2021....
The report was filed following a 16-month investigation that included several hearings, interviews and around 1.3 million documents. According to The New York Times, the recommendations include breaking up of the companies and empowering law-enforcement agencies to prevent them from getting bigger through mergers and acquisitions in the future.
